The function of an antenna is to emit or receive electromagnetic waves. The electrical connection of the antenna to the source (consumer) can be direct, or can be done using a transmission line equipped with radio frequency connectors, i.e. using a feeder. The function of the feeder is to transmit electromagnetic waves from the radio transmitter to the input of the antenna and transmit electromagnetic waves from the antenna to the radio.
